How to Replace the Door Seal (Part #303520) on Your Splendide® Washer-Dryer Combo
🧼 How to Install the Splendide® Door Seal (Part #303520)
Replacing your Splendide® door seal can be tricky, but with the right parts and steps, you can get a watertight fit that performs like new.
This guide walks you through installing the main door gasket (303520) along with the rear clamp (092155) and front retaining seal (092156) used on most Splendide® washer-dryer combo models.
🧰 What You’ll Need
- Phillips screwdriver
- Flat-head screwdriver or pick tool
- Needle-nose pliers
- Mild soap or silicone spray (for easier fit)
- Soft towel
- Flashlight
⚙️ The Parts You’ll Be Working With
All three parts work together to form a watertight barrier between the drum and the door opening.
🔧 Step-by-Step Installation
1. Power Off & Prepare
Unplug the washer-dryer, shut off the water supply, and open the door fully.
Lay a towel at the base to catch any drips.
2. Remove the Old Gasket
- Locate the outer wire ring (092156) just inside the door. Use a small screwdriver to lift and remove the spring section.
- Peel the old gasket off the front panel lip.
- Locate the inner clamp (092155) around the drum rim — loosen or unhook it.
- Pull off the old 303520 gasket completely.
3. Clean the Surfaces
Wipe the drum rim and front panel edge clean of residue or lint.
A smooth, clean surface ensures the new gasket seals properly.
4. Install the New Door Seal (303520)
- Find the drain hole or alignment notch — this should face down at the 6 o’clock position.
- Fit the inner lip of the gasket around the drum rim, stretching it evenly all the way around.
- Secure the gasket with the rear clamp (092155) by tightening or locking the band.
5. Attach the Front Edge
- Pull the outer lip of the gasket forward and seat it over the front panel groove.
- Reinstall the front retaining ring (092156) — start at the top and work around, ending with the spring section at the bottom.
- Use a bit of mild soap or silicone spray to make it easier to stretch the gasket over the rim.
6. Final Check
- Run your fingers around both edges to confirm the gasket sits flat and smooth.
- Close the door and ensure even pressure.
- Run a short rinse cycle (no laundry) and check for leaks.
💡 Troubleshooting
- Tight fit? Normal — the rubber must stretch slightly for a proper seal.
- Popping out? Re-check that both retaining bands (092155 & 092156) are fully seated.
- Drip from bottom? Make sure the drain hole is at the 6 o’clock position.
