This article discusses how to modify the 4 pin connector Surge protector (part #257890) to adapt to older models that previously used (part #091054) a 2 pin connector at the end of the wiring harness.
If you need the 2-PIN connector surge protector, you will need to order this surge protector and make some modifications.
IMPORTANT NOTE: BOTH surge protectors have the same 'TYPE' number printed on them (TYPE 116103096). ALL surge protectors from 1996-2020 have had TYPE 116103096 printed on them.
Surge #257890 modify for Surge 091054
Cut the connector from Surge #257890 (4 PIN):
Then Cut the connector from the 2 PIN Surge:
Connect the wires, blue to blue & brown to brown to with butt connectors:
Modify the 4 pin connector on the surge to the 2 pin connector:
